Learn more →Conway has grown fast. The city added roughly 8,000 residents between 2020 and 2025, and close to half of its homes were built in 2000 or later. In those newer houses, the first repaint is usually about replacing builder-grade finishes with paint that cleans up, and choosing colors that fit how you live.
Older Conway is a different job. Around Hendrix College and in the Robinson Historic District, homes have original wood trim, porches and brick. Conway’s Historic District Commission considers painting previously unpainted brick in the Robinson district inappropriate, so we plan exterior work there around the brick, not over it. In the Old Conway Design Overlay, paint colors themselves aren’t regulated.
Weather sets the calendar. Central Arkansas summers are hot and humid, and spring brings heavy rain and a coat of yellow pine pollen. We schedule exterior work for the drier stretches of spring and fall, and we wash every surface before a drop of paint goes on.
About 35 minutes from downtown Little Rock via I-40. Home to the University of Central Arkansas, Hendrix College and Central Baptist College.
Paint and stain need the right temperature and dry surfaces to cure. Here’s how the year usually breaks down in Central Arkansas.
Cold, wet months are ideal for indoor work and kitchen refreshes.
Mild temperatures. We wait out pine pollen and wash before painting.
We start early and follow the shade to keep paint off hot, sunny walls.
Drier, cooler days. A favorite time for decks and fences.
Fresh rooms before guests arrive. Book early in the fall.

Don’t see your question? Call us and we’ll answer it.
Usually not. Conway’s Historic District Commission considers painting previously unpainted brick inappropriate in the Robinson Historic District and has approved projects on the condition that the brick stays unpainted. Trim, doors and previously painted wood are a different story, and we’ll help you check before you choose colors.
Inside the Old Conway Design Overlay, colors aren’t regulated. Many newer subdivisions have a property owners’ association with its own rules, so check your covenants or ask your POA before you settle on exterior colors.
Spring after the pollen settles, and early fall. Depending on the product, exterior paint needs air and surface temperatures above roughly 35–50°F and has to stay above the dew point while it cures, so we watch the forecast and adjust start times.
Yes. Revive Paint holds an Arkansas Residential Home Improvement License (#0478560127), which covers painting, cabinets, concrete and special coatings, and we carry general liability insurance. Arkansas requires a license for residential home improvement jobs over $2,000, so it’s worth asking any painter you’re considering.
