Wood decks, porches, railings and stairs cleaned and stained so the boards shed water, resist sun damage and keep their color longer.

Little Rock's hills put a lot of decks up in the air. Raised decks and long stair runs on the slopes of West Little Rock take full afternoon sun, while smaller decks under mature trees in Midtown and the Heights stay shaded and damp. Sun-baked boards gray and check; shaded ones grow slippery mildew. We clean, let the wood dry, and choose a stain that suits how much sun your deck actually gets.
Little Rock lots range from small, shaded backyards under mature oaks in Midtown, Hillcrest and the Heights to large, sloped lots in West Little Rock with raised decks, long fence runs and big patios. Shade means mildew and slow drying; slopes mean stairs, tall posts and more surface to cover.
Decks take the worst of Central Arkansas weather: full summer sun, long humid stretches and spring storms. Most stains need dry wood and temperatures between about 50 and 95°F, so we aim for spring after the pollen and for fall, keep an eye on the forecast, and give the deck time to dry after cleaning before any stain goes on.
You'll know the scope before we start: what we're coating, how we'll prep it and what it will cost.

We started Revive Paint with a simple idea: do careful work, tell people the truth and clean up after ourselves.
Dirt, mildew and gray, sun-damaged fibers have to come off before stain can soak in, so cleaning is part of every job.
We'll explain semi-transparent versus solid stain for your deck's age and condition, and how often each needs a refresh.
Floors, railings, spindles and stair treads are covered as scoped, with siding, plants and patios protected.
We look at the boards, rails and stairs, check the old finish, talk colors and stain types, and put the scope in writing.
The deck is washed to remove dirt, mildew and gray fibers so the wood can absorb stain evenly.
The wood dries, rough spots are sanded, and loose boards or popped fasteners are flagged. Siding, plants and patios are protected.
Stain is applied and worked into the floor boards, rails, spindles and stairs in thin, even coats.
We walk the deck with you and tell you when it's ready for foot traffic and furniture.
Deck staining is priced by square footage, the number of rails, spindles and stairs, and how much cleaning and stripping the old finish needs.
National cost guides put the average deck staining project at about $850, with most between $550 and $1,250, or about $2 to $4 per square foot (Angi, 2026). Those are national figures. Your Revive Paint estimate is free, in writing, and based on your actual Little Rock home.
In Little Rock, price for outdoor wood and concrete work depends most on how much cleaning and stripping the old finish needs, and on raised decks, stairs and long fence runs on sloped West Little Rock lots.

Bryce and his team were phenomenal. Painted the house and stained my deck. Paint looks flawless. Extremely happy with the results.
Revive Paint did a wonderful job. They said it would be 3 to 4 days, and it was no more than 3. The crew was super, and Tony was exceptionally paying attention to details. We highly recommend these guys. Thank you for a job well done.

New pressure-treated pine needs to dry out first, often 30 to 60 days for a semi-transparent stain and longer for solid stain. We'll test the wood before we start.
Semi-transparent stain shows the wood grain and is easier to maintain. Solid stain hides more wear and color differences but can show traffic patterns sooner. We'll recommend one based on your deck's age and condition.
Usually light foot traffic the next day and furniture after a couple of days, depending on the product and weather. We'll give you exact timing.
Yes. Porches, stairs, railings, pergolas and wood privacy screens can be included in your estimate.
In the MacArthur Park Historic District, colors on wood don't need approval, but painting masonry or stucco requires a certificate of appropriateness from the Little Rock Historic District Commission. Many West Little Rock neighborhoods, including Chenal Valley, have POA rules for exterior colors, so check your covenants before you choose.
